Key Responsibilities
  • Set up banquet rooms according to hotel standards and event specifications
  • Prepare and arrange tables, chairs, podiums, and other equipment as needed
  • Assist with event setup, including refreshing banquet rooms and maintaining daily setup as assigned by the on-duty supervisor
  • Be aware of events in the area and provide suggestions to guests as needed
  • Follow and maintain Health Department specifications, including filling out daily temp logs, rotating product first in, first out, and recording/disposing of expired product on the waste log
  • Strive to exceed guest satisfaction and look for ways to provide the best possible service
  • Participate in department meetings and communicate freely, expressing ideas, opinions, or views
  • Display a positive, courteous, and polite attitude, working well with others
  • Take pride in your appearance and report to work in complete uniform, wearing the proper shoes and socks professionally dressed and neatly groomed
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before guests or associates of the organization
  • TiPS Certified preferred
