Toyota Battery Manufacturing North Carolina (TBMNC) is looking for a passionate and highly-motivatedFinancial Analyst, Cost Management.

The primary responsibility of this role is to support the forecasting, financial analysis and cost functions for Battery Manufacturing before and after construction, which includes Hybrid Electric and Battery Electric Modules The person in this role will provide accurate and timely financial information to support management's decision making as well as be a key resource to support production shops. Flexibility and creativity will be a key expectation as our business is preparing for electrification. Many issues may require the team member to draw upon their experiences to solve problems in a systematic and analytical way. This position will receive general direction from management; however, this individual will be required to work through many issues on their own without the continuous support of management.

Reporting to the Amanda Waugh, Finance Manager, the person in this role will support Battery Manufacturing department's objective of planning, analyzing, problem solving and cost reduction targets.

What you'll be doing

  • Provide cost leadership for Battery Manufacturing management, including budget coordination, cost reporting and analysis, and ad-hoc support related to cost inquires.
  • Support the monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual financial closing, accruals and completing monthly journal entries.
  • Conduct shop cost actual versus budget and forecast variance analysis.
  • Review, analyze, and route operating rings in support of plant operations.
  • Support in Developing new standardized processes and reporting for new Battery Manufacturing.

Qualification Section

What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or accounting
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience supporting Monthly Close Processes.
  • Experience with budgeting and forecasting for operating expenses.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

Added bonus if you have

  • Manufacturing Cost Accounting experience, including Cost and usage variance analysis and standard cost development.
  • Experience with SAP Financials.
  • Experience with BPC Planning for SAP.
  • Experience working for an Automotive Manufacturing company.
  • Working experience with Microsoft Power BI (including data importation, slicer, report creation and troubleshooting).
  • Experience with Power Point & Presentation Skills
