What we are looking for in a People Coordinator As the People Coordinator, you will support the day-to-day business operations of the company. You will work closely with the founders, championing a great employee experience and ensuring that employees have the resources they need to be productive, while keeping the office space functioning and organized. This role is responsible for creating and maintaining company policies, communicating with both internal and external stakeholders, and cultivating a great work environment. This role is ideally suited to someone who loves startups, impactful & sustainable technology, and working with a team passionate about the company mission. You thrive in a small team environment where you have autonomy over your day-to-day work. Responsibilities of this position include: Oversee onboarding of new employees [prepare documents, training plan followed, meetings scheduled, equipment provisioned, etc.] Build, improve, review, recommend, and launch new policies and procedures related to business operations and employee experience in a startup environment Perform HR functions including running payroll and tracking timesheets Support the team's inclusion, diversity, and equity goals through involvement in recruiting, onboarding, and company events (such as company-wide meetings) Responsible for maintaining contact database and supporting external communication (e.g. investor updates, newsletters, etc.) We highly value a positive team culture and are looking for someone who wants to be part of continuously enhancing this culture - ideally playing an active role in this as the company grows.
