What you will typically be responsible for: Researching existing services in the community and assisting in developing new volunteer programs or improving existing ones. Soliciting individuals, corporations, and service organizations for donations necessary to maintain the Volunteer and Emergency Services Program. Managing funds and goods for the Volunteer and Emergency Services Program, assuring that they are within budget. Researching available funding and writing grant proposals. Receiving requests or direct service referrals for volunteer program assistance. Developing, maintaining, and compiling statistics for publishing quarterly and annual reports on the volunteer program. Designing jobs and training volunteers. Education: Possession of a bachelor degree from an accredited college or university with a major in business or public administration, social or behavioral sciences, volunteer administration, or a closely related field. Experience: Three years of full-time experience coordinating or supervising volunteers in a public, nonprofit or private agency which included supervision of staff. Substitution of Experience for Education: Successful completion of 60 semester or 90 quarter units from an accredited college or university which included a 3 semester or 5 quarter unit course in each of the following areas: English Composition, Business or Public Administration, Political Science or Government, Math or Statistics and Social or Behavioral Sciences and two additional years of qualifying experience may be substituted for the required bachelor Degree. #J-18808-Ljbffr
