Join Torch and be a part of shaping the future Job Title: Modelling and Simulation Development Lead Location: Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, Alabama Job Description: Torch Technologies is seeking a Senior Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Software Engineer to lead development, integration, execution, and analysis of realtime simulations in support of Army Integrated Air and Missile Defense (AIAMD) systems. The successful candidate will be a significant contributor to the technical effort while also leading a small team, planning resources and schedule to accomplish customer objectives. Job Responsibilities: Development, integration, execution, & analysis of realtime M&S products to support Army in various simulation and range venues including all-digital and Hardware in the Loop (HWIL) venues. Design & develop simulations using tactical and simulation communication protocols. Integrate simulation and tactical software changes into realtime simulations. Track and resolve bugs, issues, and new capabilities. Support integration, execution, debugging, and analysis in various venues including OEM facilities, government lab facilities, and test ranges. Maintain subject matter expertise in realtime M&S, AIAMD fire control, AIAMD interceptors, and AIAMD sensors/uplinkers. Plan and prioritize resources and schedule for the team. Job Requirements: Master’s degree in computer science, a related field or equivalent experience. 10 or more years of applicable progressively complex software design engineering experience. Expert debugger and problem solver. Experience leading technical teams and facilitating teamwork. Significant experience with some or all of the following: 6DOF interceptor modeling Patriot interceptors AIAMD sensors/uplinkers Object-oriented design and programming (C++ and/or Python) Analysis of simulation and live mission data. Ability to read and understand design documents and Interface Control Diagrams (ICDs). Fortran and Ada experience are desired.
