Business Development Manager

Our client, a global leader in engineering and producing complete high-technology secondary packaging systems, is seeking a Business Development Manager to join their team in Buffalo Grove, IL.
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing new customer relationships. The ideal candidate, with 2-3 years business development experience, including exposure to sales and marketing, should possess strong communication skills, a consultative sales approach, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development/Marketing
with company management to devise strategies and set targets.
and improve relationships with existing lead sources through the company’s Customer Relationship Management Database, LinkedIn, and other platforms.
and maintain relationships with customers, industry consultants, sales representatives, and manufacturing companies.
in the development and implementation of marketing strategies to promote our client's products and services.
and maintain new leads via social media outlets, referrals, partner companies, consultants, and agents.
collaboratively with company management to enhance the company's image and generate audience growth.
in the planning, organization, and staffing of trade shows, as well as attending trade shows to attract new customers.
marketing and sector shows, trade association meetings, etc., to network and establish new customer relationships.
in the creation of digital content and promote content through social media and other digital outlets.
and direct open house and lunch and learn events at company headquarters.
and create advertising content, press releases, articles, and case studies for inclusion in various industry publications.
Qualifications
degree preferred.
years of relevant business development, sales, and marketing experience, preferably in the packaging industry.
of the media landscape, including both print and digital platforms.
understanding of social media, engagement, and strategies to assist in running social accounts.
communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
