Clinical Project Manager - Senior - Information Services Regional Strategic Projects

(This is a hybrid role requiring some onsite work in Indianapolis, Indiana)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Supports the Clinical Program Manager - IS - with the delivery of the integrated clinical technologies for the teams' portfolio of regional strategic system projects ranging from moderately to highly complex successful and timely completion of the project(s) scope within budget.
  • This role will serve as a liaison between the Clinical Application Teams and Design and Construction individuals/teams working alongside regional operations stakeholders and others.
  • Provides administrative decision making, leadership and planning for IU Health's clinical expansion and new build projects.
  • Helps coordinate Clinical Information Services resources across multiple divisions to improve overall project efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensures effective and efficient project management practices are utilized by the Clinical IS program team(s).
  • Identifies and maintains ownership of significant Clinical IS related issues, leading the mitigation and resolution of those impacting their client and escalate when appropriate.
  • Coordinates clinical IS resource project delivery and must be familiar with the project goals, scope, and objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member to effectively coordinate the activities of the team. Facilitates current and future state clinical processes, requirements, elicitation, solutions and development and test management.
STRONGLY PREFERRED:
  • Experience as a Registered Nurse or other clinical role strongly preferred.
  • Clinical Informatics experience strongly preferred.
  • At least 5 years' relevant experience in project management, preferably in healthcare.
  • Strong coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Adaptability to a diverse range of tasks, from technical to managerial.
  • Knowledge of healthcare systems and technology integration.
  • EMR experience.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience.
  • PMP (Project Management Process) certification is required or requirement to attain within 12 months.
  • Required experience with enterprise PPM (Project and Portfolio Management) tools.
  • Strong working skills with MS Office tools such as MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Vizio etc. is required.
  • Required experience with contractor and vendor management.
  • Requires a demonstrated fundamental understanding of project accounting and financial management.
  • Requires an understanding of the Information Management principles, IT processes, SDLC, architecture and technologies adopted by an organization.
  • Experience in solution scoping, business case development and creation of TCO models is required.
