Role Overview: Junior Accountant Idea Financial is hiring a junior accountant to join our team. This is a new role that will be responsible for providing support and assistance to our Accounting. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team. This position is full-time and based out of our office in Miami, FL. This list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities, as necessary. Accounts Receivable Reconciliation Accounts Payable Reconciliation Closing monthly financials, generating financial reports, and performing bank reconciliations. Gathering, organizing, and attaching invoice/receipts to credit card charges included in QuickBooks. Preparing missing-receipt status reports on monthly credit card activity and internal communication with management. Assembling and communicating requested information for annual external audit. Ad hoc accounting requests. Requirements: Proven 1-4 years of experience as an accountant Excellent organizing abilities Great attention to detail Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software (e.g. QuickBooks and NetSuite) Experience with closing cycles and reconciliations
