Your Responsibilities as a Tax Accounting Specialist:

  • Prepare and file income tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, estates, non-profit entities, and retirement plans.
  • Support junior accountants with various tax return challenges.
  • Engage directly with clients across diverse sectors.
  • Handle payroll tax and sales tax filings.
  • Develop and evaluate tax planning forecasts.
  • Calculate and document federal and state income tax obligations for returns, extensions, and estimated payments.
  • Conduct research on complex tax matters.
  • Address client questions and respond to notices from tax authorities.
  • Remain informed about evolving accounting standards and tax legislation.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • Previous tax internship experience is preferred
  • Strong analytical, technical, and auditing capabilities, including proficiency in US GAAP
  • Experience with tax preparation, research, and planning software
  • Able to juggle multiple projects in a dynamic environment
  • Detail-oriented with effective time management skills
  • Self-sufficient with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
