The Human Resources (HR) Assistant / Recruiting and Staffing Coordinator will be responsible for supporting Human Resources and Administration in all aspects of the department (recruitment, training, employee relations), as well as overseeing and/or facilitating various special projects independently. This individual serves as the principal liaison between the community and the Human Resources and Administration Office for HR-related issues (benefits, Workday, payroll), and plays a key role in workforce administration, and often serves as the primary contact for newly hired employees.

Human Resources (HR) Assistant / Recruiting and Staffing Coordinator Essential Job Duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Establishes proper staffing and service levels that are at or above operating standards within the time frame allotted.
  • Establishes recruiting priorities with Administration to fulfill open shifts and cases.
  • Ensure the accuracy, legal compliance, and collection of employment and payroll documents, as well as other weekly data, to be sent to the Business Office within specified timelines for timely processing of personnel scheduling, payroll, and billing reports.
  • Design, develop, and maintain the recruitment process in the Facility in accordance with corporate directives (including its description, recruitment measurement definitions, regular measurement reporting, taking proper actions to close gaps)
  • Source new candidates using resume databases, internet searches, job boards, asking for referrals, meeting with community services and local schools.
•Establish vendor relationships and effective communication with outside vendors used for recruitment plans, such as online recruitment, church and community groups, college outreach, and other approved partners.
  • Participates in recruitment activities (i.e., career fairs, college fairs, open houses, etc.)
  • Coordinates and develops employee event planning and employee development programs.
  • Create and maintain printed and electronic communications for staff notifications, opportunities, and general communication.
  • Exemplify the desired organizational culture and philosophies by incorporating them into both recruiting and training programs.
  • Ensure that onboarding and human resources files are kept properly and in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Perform new employee orientations and onboarding, as well as employee relations and exit interviews.
  • Assists in responding to employee relations issues in partnership with the appropriate line manager/supervisor.
  • Serves as the principal contact for newly hired employees, including processing new hire paperwork, coordinating required medical testing, inputting background checks to appropriate agencies, and ensuring compliance to government and organization recordkeeping requirements.
  • Complete interviews/screens to ensure candidate meets position qualifications and is interested in providing clinical care/services.
  • Properly document recruiting actions and process steps in application tracking system.
  • Creates offer letter and initiates onboarding for new hire.
  • Coordinates completion of new hire paperwork.
  • Demonstrates an ability to identify and solve problems with initiative and good judgment to reach quality decisions.
  • Maintains rapport with candidates and employees and effectively promotes harmonious interpersonal relationships.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all employee's patient/client and company issues
  • Performs all other job duties as assigned.

Human Resources (HR) Assistant / Recruiting and Staffing Coordinator Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
  • SHRM certification is desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum of 2 years of HR-related experience or equivalent education required.
  • High school diploma required.
  • Experience with an HRIS program preferred.
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) experience.
  • Automated Scheduling Software (preferred).
  • Payroll Time Management (preferred).
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Ability to positively present our company and open roles to potential candidates.
  • Detailed oriented and effective time-management abilities.
  • Positive and professional demeanor
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
