Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all aspects of cost accounting, including analyzing production costs, variances, and inventory valuation.
  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
  • Develop and maintain standard costing systems and ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
  • Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, budget forecasts, and variance reports to support decision-making processes.
  • Assist in the implementation of ERP systems and other accounting software enhancements.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory agencies during audits and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Participate in special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong background in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment is essential.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and meeting deadlines.
  • Proven leadership abilities with a focus on team collaboration and development.
