We are looking for a CADD Drafter to join our team in Portland, OR.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare preliminary and detailed drawings to customer requirements of outside plan network facilities using Autodesk AutoCAD, Visio, PLS-CAD, etc. from surveyed field notes, photos, or other source documents.
  • Prepare construction permits for placement on infrastructure (e.g., encroachment, Right-Of-Way, easement, Traffic Control).
  • General documents preparation, data entry, creating work order construction prints, records posting, cable count re-arrangements, and filling out associated documents as needed.
  • Meet with or update H&M management weekly on the project status.
  • Ability to work multiple projects at the same time and meet all requirements.
  • Communicate and help resolve any fielding document issues with internal and external customers.
  • Comply with all safety requirements- reinforce all internal and external safety practices and policies. (e.g., OSHA, NEC, PPE, etc.).
  • Prepare High Level Designs in CAD format when required.
  • Recognize process waste and suggest changes.
  • Ensure engineering/design activities comply with company and contract requirements and support overall schedule.
  • Work safely Commitment to work safely in manner that is consistent with company values and policies. Participate in safety-oriented culture by reading safety memos, listening to industry experts, and watching out for fellow employees.

  • Communicate with internal staff and customer with appropriates medias (email, fax,phone, video, etc.)
  • Time management; prioritizing work and documenting tasks.
  • Reporting anomalies to team members through established tools or verbally.
  • Wearing and utilizing all required safety PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) withsituational awareness.
  • Work in a safe manner always. This includes but is not limited to driving safely,stretching twice a day, good posture / ergonomics, and following all safety rules.
  • Keeping a clean and organized workstation both physically and virtually.
  • Rearranging work area to optimize safety and/or productivity.
  • Punctual for daily start time and meetings.
  • Fill out time keeping / accounting documentation on a daily or weekly basis.
  • Work after normal hours as needed.
  • Keeping a current state drivers license without restrictions.
  • Daily schedule of 7am to 4pm Monday-Friday

Experience

  • 3+ years of professional experience in Autodesk AutoCAD and or Civil 3D
  • 3+ years of professional experience working with Microsoft Word and Excel
