CAD Drafter

JOB DESCRIPTION

Seeking a CAD Drafter specifically with AutoCAD experience.

· 2 yrs experience with AutoCAD drafting.

· Experience or interest in design and drafting in multiple disciplines (structural, mechanical, electrical, and architectural)

· Understanding of drafting or designing layout of systems in any discipline.

· Tailor drawings to clients’ CAD standards.

· Ability to learn, take direction, and develop design capabilities.

· Works under close supervision; receives specific and detailed instructions for required tasks and produces results with the opportunity to exercise judgment.

· Work closely with engineers to develop strategies, update designs, and draft red lines and markups.

· Develops drawings, updates drawing layouts of equipment, mechanical, electrical layout, architectural and structural. Use AutoCAD to update drawings and create models.

 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

· AutoCAD experience with structural, mechanical (not HVAC), electrical, piping, architecture, reading plans, redlines, and diagrams

· Travel short or long distances to job sites and possible overnight stays

· Experience in working in the field.

· 2+ years’ experience with AutoCAD (3D drafting is a plus)

· Good knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook

· Good written and verbal communication skills (will be working with clients and vendors)

· Work well in a team environment

· Physical requirements: can climb ladders, pick up 25 pounds, operate a motor vehicle
