The CNC Manufacturing Process Engineer will join a small team of engineers reporting into the Operations Lead. In this role you will work with CNC machinery, optimizing processes on the manufacturing floor.

My client manufacturers products used by Medical Device and Aerospace OEMs nationwide. This position is based in Burlington, Massachusetts and it is on-site 5 days a week.

Description

The CNC Manufacturing Process Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Research and implement cutting-edge industry methodologies for fabrication
  • Develop and optimize CNC programs, design fixtures, and create setup sheets
  • Specify machining parameters including part holding techniques, speeds, feeds, and tooling
  • Verify and validate programs prior to production release
  • Assist with machine setup and initial production runs
  • Identify and procure special tooling to support part fabrication
  • Create and maintain product and process specifications and related documentation
  • Develop proficiency in programming, operation, and setup of various machining platforms

Profile

The successful CNC Manufacturing Process Engineer will have the following qualifications:

  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience working with CNC machinery
  • High proficiency with at least two of the following CNC machines: EDM RAM, EDM Wire, Lathe, Mill, Mill-Turn, Swiss
  • 3D CAD skills
  • CAM programming expertise
  • Experience with precision measurement tools (caliper, micrometer, OC and height gauge)
