Overview:

Designs, implements, and improves manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and reduce costs and waste.

Responsibilities:
  • Sources and installs new equipment including IQ/OQ/PQs
  • Constructs work centers that enable proper and efficient assembly of medical devices
  • Develops and performs engineering studies and process validations
  • Analyzes production processes and identifies opportunities to improve product quality and efficiency
  • Contributes to lean manufacturing programs to optimize manufacturing efficiencies
  • Develops and implements improved manufacturing processes
  • Works with vendors to address supplier issues or source new materials or components
  • Evaluates products according to specifications per associated ASTM/ISO and/or other applicable standards or requirements
  • Aids in production transfers from R&D to manufacturing
  • Generates and updates production documentation and drawings through a paperless Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
  • Works on the manufacturing floor (up to 50% of the time) to learn and improve upon existing and new processes
  • Adheres to company policies, procedures, and documentation requirements
  • Treats others with courtesy, sensitivity, and respect at all times
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in either Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering required
  • 1 year related experience
  • Skills: Knowledge of cGMPs
  • Computer Skills: MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
