**Description**
**Position Summary:** Responsible for acting as a liaison between customers and company. Assists with orders, account questions, billing and other inquiries related to customer accounts/orders.
**General purpose:** To work in conjunction with all departments to coordinate information to provide the very best of service to all customers.
**Role qualifications:**
Must partner with the sales team and manufacturing units to provide customers with excellent service.
Must address customer issues and ensure effective and long-term problem resolution.
**Responsibilities/Duties:**
Receive customer orders by phone/email/mail/fax or customer portals
Work with customers directly to provide quotes, lead time and order status inquiries
Enter orders into computer system, AS400; process changes and cancellations
Work with Sales to coordinate information for customers
Apply goods to orders; complete shipping instructions to warehouse
Monitor backorders and keep customers updated on status
Enter approved price quotes from sales
Work with Customer Service Manager to collaborate on issues and resolution
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Work with customers that have unique operational requests, etc. Portals; EDI specifics, special ticket requirements etc. to ensure smooth transitions and assure Culp is in full compliance.
**Qualifications:**
Excellent customer service, negotiation, problem solving and interpersonal skills
Capable of learning product knowledge quickly
Focus on quality and exceptional documentation skills
Proficient skills to analyze information and relay to customers
Ability to multi-task and handle numerous assignments simultaneously.
Strong knowledge of AS400 and PC skills in Microsoft Word/Excel.
Good listening and feedback skills along with problem solving ability
Ability to work well with others in a professional team environment and independently
