We are seeking to hire an HR Business Partner to join our Human Resources Team

Requirements

We are searching for a candidate with:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently, take initiative, and see projects through to completion.
  • Bilingual in Spanish required
  • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule, including working additional hours to meet tight deadlines and/or travelling as needed.
  • Strong multi-tasking, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a complex matrix environment.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% as required.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, psychology or related field or equivalent work experience. Master's degree in human resource management or related degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience resolving complex associate relations issues.
  • Attention to detail and experience handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Labor relations and contract negotiations experience a plus.
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities

A typical day may include:
  • Assists the management team in carrying out various human resources programs and procedures, organizational training, and development planning for company associates.
  • Partners with line management, providing HR guidance and policy interpretation when appropriate.
  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Ensures compliance in all policies, procedures, and reporting.
  • Manages and resolves complex associate relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of associates, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
  • Works closely with management and associates to improve associate engagement, build morale, and increase productivity, and retention.
  • Provides guidance and input on workforce planning and staffing strategies for peak staffing cycles.
  • Participates in recruiting and onboarding efforts, to include phone screenings, interviews, reference checks, pre-employment processes, and new hire orientations, primarily for production level and front-line leadership positions.
  • Participates in safety committee meetings, conducts facility walk-through's identifying safety issues, and may assist with investigating safety incidents in coordination with Safety team members.
  • Works with Operations and HR management to arrive at appropriate resolution of associate relations issues.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development and disciplinary actions).
  • Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Coordinates with operations management and associates to ensure compliance with people-related company policies, state and federal regulatory rules, and communications.
  • Facilitates training when requested.
  • May assist management team and insurance carrier to resolve workers' compensation claims and returning associates back to work timely.
  • Maintains associate records in Human Resource Information System (HRIS), including new hires, transfers, terminations, job classification changes, and tracking paid time off.
  • Ability to support management and associates in a manufacturing environment adhering to all safety standards.
