POSITION SUMMARY-
The HR Manager will lead and direct the full cycle of HR operations, support an employee-oriented culture, and function as a strategic business partner, updating and streamlining HR processes while working closely with the manufacturing and service aspects of our non-profit organization.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS-

- Oversee three direct reports (2) HR Administrators and (1) Payroll and Compliance specialist for a diverse nonprofit with over 200 employees. Employees range from production, remote professionals, rehabilitation service professionals, community and outreach staff, and administrative support professionals. Employees could be sighted or blind. Plant locations include Lancaster and York, Pennsylvania, and Little Rock, Arkansas.
- Implement, monitor, review, and evaluate human resources management strategies, policies, and plans to meet the organization’s needs and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies in addition to compliance and coordination with the National Industries for the Blind.
- Ensure sound recruitment and selection practices, appropriate on-boarding, training, and learning and development programs.
- Analyze trends in compensation and benefits; research and propose competitive base and incentive pay programs.
- Implement performance management systems for individual and team performance.
- Manage employee benefit options and relationships with vendors and brokers.
- Manage workers compensation functions and OHSA reporting.
- Participate in the company safety committee.
- Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Foster positive employee relations by addressing workplace concerns, managing conflict resolution, and promoting a strong culture of teamwork and communication.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS-
- Participate in bi-monthly All Staff meetings by providing training topics.
- Participate in monthly meetings with Team.
- Participate in Company Events.
- Keep up to date on all training.
- Travel required between plant locations.
- Any other duties or special projects assigned by the CFO.

Education and Work Experience:
- BS in Business, HR or a related field.
- 2-5 years’ experience in HR.
- 2-5 years’ experience in Supervision.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and compliance.
- Experience with modernizing HR Systems, processes, and policies.
- SHRM Certification preferred.
Working Conditions
- Must be able to sit at a desk for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to work in the production area.
- Occasional travel required.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to carry, lift, and push equipment/materials up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to spend considerable time stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
- Use hands to repetitively operate, finger, handle or feel computers and office equipment.
- Must be able to travel independently and safely occasionally.
