Primary Responsibilities Of The Staff Accountant

Accounts Receivable Manage cash receipts and the corresponding application to the customer account. Review open receivables daily and make necessary communication with customers to facilitate prompt collection and achieve mutual understanding of account status. Work with Quality department to manage workflow of credit memos on returned product. Work closely with customer service and shipping on any issues with billing and/or invoices. Credit Management Research new customers using Dun and Bradstreet as well as credit references on application. Recommend Credit Limit based on the research performed. Maintain Credit Hold files and decide when to let shipments go to customers. Work with customers on their lines of credit. Accounting Ensure that all AR activities post to the general ledger correctly. Perform monthly close entries and account reconciliations. Complete balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis. Participate in the costing process in ERP for standard cost of SKUs. Generate other internal reports and requests as assigned.

Essential Functions of the Role

Education

Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. 3-5 years of related work experience in accounting, A/R, A/P, General Ledger preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with expertise in MS Excel. Strong organizational skills. Ability to prioritize.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience (Desirable)

ERP/MRP Systems knowledge. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
