The Senior Accounts Payable Accountant supports a variety of finance projects that relate directly to our organization's revenue and expenses, cash-flow, long-term investments, and reporting. The role is integral to maintaining relationships with vendors and ensuring timely payments.This requires the ability to conduct financial due diligence and apply accounting procedures while also capturing and interpreting data from many sources at once. In addition to day-today responsibilities, this role will assist with training new employees and providing work direction and instruction as needed.

What you get to do:
  • Execute day-to-day operations of one or more sub-functions such as: accounts payable, fixed asset/equipment accounting and system.
  • Process payments of multiple companies to ensure timely reconciliation and review vendor statements to ensure accounts are current.
  • Perform accounts payable functions including account reconciliations, and month-end reporting.
  • Curate and maintain key vendor relationships.
  • Manage OCR invoice system and champion process improvement.
  • Assist with year-end reporting; help reconcile and complete year-end property tax reports.
  • Support team with Capstone needs by engaging in data entry and problem solving.
  • Conduct research in response to specific inquiries.
  • Provide support for audits and related requests.
  • Provide training and day-to-day work instruction to other Accountants as needed.
What we expect from you:
  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting or finance is required. An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Five or more years of experience in finance or accounting required; construction accounting experience desired.
  • General ledger accounting and financial analysis experience.
  • Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Suite products.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to develop and execute plans with a high level of detail, precision, and follow-through.
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying and improving systems and procedures.
  • Exceptional communication skills, and ability to quickly build trust and develop positive relationships.
  • A valid driver's license may be required. Individuals in this role may be subject to an annual Motor Vehicle Records check. The outcome of any MVR checks conducted may negatively impact the persons' ability to participate in any vehicle program provided by the company, including but not limited to the ability to drive a personal vehicle on behalf of The Boldt Company or rent a vehicle through for business travel purposes.
Physical requirements and working conditions:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position for up to eight hours. The employee occasionally is required to move to access people or workspaces. Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer. The ability to optimally communicate is required. The employee may occasionally move up to 15 pounds.

The working conditions of this position requires the employee to work inside an office environment. The environment for which this position functions may contain scents and fragrances. May be requested to work overtime and weekends.
