Job Purpose

The Director of Technology is responsible for managing and improving our technology roadmap, and articulating a vision for business technology across the firm. The role also leads the technology team, including IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, software development, and data operations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead, facilitate and participate in company and team level strategy initiatives
  • Identify opportunities and risks, recommend, develop, implement and support industry-leading digital solutions
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of existing systems and oversee the successful implementation of new technology systems by serving as project manager and change agent
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture while providing leadership and guidance to members of the IT team, including through personal development plans
  • Review, improve, and develop policies and procedures guiding the use of business technology, business continuity, and cybersecurity
  • Oversee the budgeting, planning, continuous improvement, and maintenance of our IT infrastructure

Education and Experience:

  • An educational background demonstrating solid foundations in cybersecurity, computer science, management of technology, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in information technology, managing corporate network infrastructure, web operations, and technology implementation projects.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing technical teams, including setting clear goals and supporting professional growth within a team.
  • Demonstrated success leading product teams and agile development of technology lifecycle

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Solid experience in running the business side of IT, including vendor management and budgeting.
  • Ability to work with and through people to drive and achieve results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to prioritize, problem solve, and multi-task.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort:

  • Work is normally performed in a typical office environment
  • No or very limited physical effort is required
  • No or very limited exposure to physical risk
