American Track is seeking a highly experienced Accounting Manager to assist the Corporate Controller in directing the organization's accounting functions including receivables, payables, intercompany consolidation, and reporting. This role oversees the preparation of periodic reporting and ensures that all corporate and required accounting policies and procedures are documented and followed by the organization. A successful candidate in this role will Oversees the operations of the Accounting Department, to include receivables, payables, intercompany consolidation and reporting Ensure compliance with internal policies and controls as defined by the Controller and CFO and according to accounting standards, state and federal regulations, and tax laws Assists in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with company policies and GAAP Prepares various financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, or upon request Assists with cash flow management, accounts payable, receivable, and payroll Manage fixed assets and leases in compliance with ASC 842 Analyzes financial data and presents financial reports in an accurate and timely manner Provides financial insights to support decision-making processes Assists in maintaining appropriate internal controls over financial reporting Prepares for audits and coordinates with auditors during annual audits and provides necessary information and responses. Reconciles balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies Manages the month-end and year-end closing processes Participates in hiring junior staff members, to include recruiting, interviewing, and selection of talent Supervises daily activities and organizes workload of junior accounting staff members Fosters a positive and collaborative work environment Trains and mentors accounting staff, providing valuable feedback for performance Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field CPA certification designation, preferred Work Experience Required: 5-7 years previous work experience in accounting or financial management roles Experience in public accounting Previous work experience in accounting software, CMiC preferred Skills & Knowledge Required: Advanced knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles. Strong analytical skills and interpretation of data, trends, and insights Advanced Excel skills and other Microsoft Office suite software Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present financial information to stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills to resolve accounting issues and improve financial processes Understanding of financial risk management principles to mitigate potential risks.
