We are looking for someone for the role of Technical Analyst on the Product Engineering team at Homesite. You will gather and analyze information to make informed decisions and lead collaboration across multiple teams.

As a member of the IT Product Engineering team, you will partner with Project Managers and Business Analysts to collect requirements and convert them into technical documentation for the Development and QA teams to consume. You will report to the Sr.IT Delivery Manager.

Responsibilities:
  • You will work with the appropriate business and IT groups throughout the software delivery lifecycle to gather requirements and create high-quality documentation.
  • You will collaborate with product owners, business analysts, developers, QA, and other team members to understand requirements that inspire the analysis, design, and creation of quality technical solutions.
  • You will communicate verbal and written requirements and analysis output to development and QA teams.
  • You will identify areas for simplification and process improvement, create solutions and help with implementation.
  • You will provide estimation of IT level of effort through partnership with system owners and all affected IT functions.
  • You will share in ownership of the Cross Team Refinement meetings, where teams are introduced to new projects, initiating the design phase.
Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:
  • You will visualize, articulate, and using data to make informed decisions.
  • You will organize and analyze a solution as part of a whole and its individual components.
  • You will respond well to change; adapt to best fit with situation at hand; handle conflict willing to accept new responsibilities and be accountable.
  • You will match business requirements to deliverables and validate that solutions achieve desired business result. Meet deadlines; Hold self and others accountable; proactive identification and management of risk; manage multiple work streams; work effectively across multiple groups (both internal and external).
  • You will develop an expert-level understanding of our products, applications, services and tools. Ask the right questions, document your findings as you learn along the way, and help build out our Product Engineering Expertise Repository in Confluence.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology/Systems, related field, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of relevant experience leading efforts around business/functional/system requirements
  • Experience in systems analysis, design and a solid understanding of development, quality assurance and integration methodologies
  • Experience writing intermediate to advanced-level SQL queries
  • Insurance industry experience preferred.
  • Agile training preferred.
  • Atlassian tool (Jira, Confluence) expertise preferred.


In this flex office/home role, you will be expected to work a minimum of 10 days per month from one of the following office locations: Madison, WI 53783; Boston, MA 02110
