Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the engagement team in planning and executing audit engagements to deliver top-tier client service.
- Oversee daily operations of audit engagements, including staffing, planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, financial reporting, and conclusions.
- Provide supervision, training, and support to engagement staff while promoting open communication with the engagement manager and partner.
- Manage multiple concurrent engagements with various teams to meet client deadlines efficiently.
- Create and monitor engagement budgets to identify inefficiencies during audits and maintain profitable realization rates.
- Review and assess work papers to ensure compliance with professional standards and firm policies.
- Evaluate reports and financial statements for accuracy and completeness.
- Discuss significant findings with the engagement partner that may raise questions regarding auditing standards and firm policies.
- Manage risk and ensure quality control procedures are effectively implemented.
- Maintain positive working relationships with client management.
- Provide on-the-job training to team members and actively participate in the Firm's learning and development initiatives.
- Conduct timely and constructive performance evaluations, offering ongoing feedback to employees.
- BBA/BS/MS in Accounting.
- Advanced knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and PCAOB/SEC regulations.
- Familiarity with transactions typical in the life sciences sector, including complex debt and equity transactions.
- Over 10 years of relevant experience.
- Active CPA license.
- Strong analytical, technical, and auditing skills, particularly in SEC Assurance.
- Ability to clearly communicate professional and technical knowledge.
- Thorough understanding of complex technical issues.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines with precision.
- Exceptional client service and communication skills, with a track record of building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Capability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects in a fast-paced, results-oriented team environment.
- Strong leadership, training, and mentoring abilities, along with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Outstanding organizational and project management skills, with a keen attention to detail.
