Essential Duties and Responsibilities Managing offshore and onshore geotechnical investigations; Overseeing and directly performing fieldwork in support of offshore and onshore geotechnical investigations; Developing and managing geotechnical laboratory testing programs, including advanced testing methods; Performing and reviewing engineering calculations, including slope stability assessments, foundation designs, pipe-soil interaction analyses, and seismic evaluations; Preparing construction documents, including drawings and technical specifications; Writing and reviewing technical reports, letters and memoranda; Managing multiple projects within the scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensuring quality standards on project deliverables; Managing the overall delivery of projects including project planning and controls, financial management, change management, risk management, and contract/subcontract management; Developing business opportunities with new and existing clients and preparing associated proposals. Education and Licensure Bachelor's degree in civil, geotechnical, or ocean engineering. (required) Advanced degree in geotechnical engineering. (preferred) Professional registration (i.e., P.E.). (preferred) Skills, Experience and Qualifications At least 5 years (7+ preferred) of relevant work experience in engineering consulting, or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required) At least 2 years of experience as a marine geotechnical engineer working on offshore projects in support of the energy sector. (required) Strong fundamentals in geotechnical engineering theory and practice. (required) Excellent writing and communication skills. (required) Experience managing the overall delivery of projects including project planning and controls, financial management, change management, risk management, and contract/subcontract management. (required) Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and travel as needed. (required) Ability and willingness to perform fieldwork and overnight travel. (required) OPITO BOSIET, OSHA health and safety, First Aid and CPR training and refreshers.
