This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing boutique asset manager and build, from the ground up, an SEC Reporting capability. This role will report to the Director of SEC Reporting. The Manager of SEC Reporting will be responsible for compliance with SEC reporting regulations, executing on the preparation and submission of all financial SEC filings, including but not limited to Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and other financial regulatory filings. The ideal candidate will have experience with SEC reporting, a strong understanding of GAAP, SOX requirements, PCAOB standards, knowledge of industry standards and the ability to navigate the complexities of financial reporting. Able to provide guidance on accounting and reporting matters. The ideal candidate must bring a strong sense of commitment to this role. To assure success, some of the following skills are a requirement: excellence in accuracy and details, strong technical skill around financial reporting and SEC reporting requirements, ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels, highest level of discretion and confidentiality, ability to predict, identify and solve problems, adaptability to a fast-paced work setting, effective communication abilities, commitment to delivering high-caliber work, curiosity to explore data insights, and a desire to continuously develop. A natural desire to take ownership, proactively engage, drive change, continuously improve processes and procedures, drive to completion multiple projects at one-time and create best practices are essential. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinate preparation of SEC filings, including financial statements, footnotes, management’s discussion, and analysis (MD&A), and all other required disclosures. Draft sections of the 10-K, 10-Q filings as appropriate. Ensure that all filings are completed in accordance with SEC compliance guidelines and deadlines. Perform accounting research and draft technical accounting memos, including the interpretation of US GAAP and SEC disclosure standards, and lead the drafting of new disclosure requirements in the Company’s SEC reports. Complete US GAAP Annual and Interim Disclosure Checklist to ensure completeness of all disclosures. Coordinate with internal teams, including accounting, legal, compliance, FP&A, and investor relations, to gather necessary information for SEC reports and draft relevant disclosures. Monitor and interpret SEC rules and regulations, as well as FASB accounting standards, to ensure compliance and stay abreast of any changes. Develop, implement and maintain internal controls over financial reporting to ensure the integrity of all financial information. Liaise with external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations for SEC filings. Provide guidance and training to finance staff on SEC reporting processes and best practices. Collaborate with senior management to assess the financial implications of operational and strategic decisions. Assist in the preparation of earnings releases, investor presentations, and other communication materials. Participate in special projects and perform ad hoc financial analysis as required. Monitor and analyze peer companies’ SEC filings to identify best practices and benchmark our reporting against industry standards. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management, auditors, and legal counsel. QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent experience a plus. 2+ years’ experience in a Big 4 accounting firm servicing US public companies is a plus. Minimum of 5 to 8 -years of progressive experience in accounting and financial reporting, with at least 2+ years in a role focused on SEC reporting. Prior experience in asset management or the financial services industry is a plus. Knowledge of SEC reporting, SOX requirements, PCAOB requirements and US GAAP. Proficiency with financial reporting systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management abilities. Ability to work cross-functionally with various departments and levels of management. Experience with XBRL tagging and filing is highly desirable.
