**Position Title:** HR Generalist II or Senior

**Position Purpose:**

Develops and implements effective Human Resource policies, programs and processes in support of corporate operations and team members needs. Provides services in benefits, team member complaint investigation/response, performance management, HR audits (401K, pension, benefits), job description development and career pathing. Works with management to develop and assist in implementing programs and processes to improve the organization. Provides guidance to leadership on Human Resource policy, Federal, State and local laws and regulations and corrective actions.

**Essential Functions:**

+ Provides counsel and support to corporate leaders on issues of company policy application, cooperative needs, and provides HR services to team members.

+ Practices strong engagement with all team members including accepting diversity of ideas and thoughts, sharing responsibility for success, demonstrating honesty and integrity, helping employees solve problems and showing respect.

+ Assists in providing guidance on employment related issues (such as ADA, FMLA, FLSA, harassment, discrimination, diversity, corrective action and progressive discipline) to leadership.

+ Prepares reports and identifies trends in employee related issues, turnover and performance trends and provides solutions to operations leadership.

+ Facilitates HR processes and operations programs to ensure ethical, fair and consistent approach.

+ Assists with the creation and implementation of effective organizational development programs, including skill proficiency and development needs.

+ Supports the development and administration of programs, policies and processes to facilitate employee and organizational development.

+ With oversight, leads employee benefits, pension, and 401K audits. Assists with open enrollment and new hire orientation.

+ Supports recruiting efforts as necessary and participate in the planning and execution of activities and events to fill all open positions in the assigned area.

+ Assists with the organization's performance management process by updating systems data and providing systems assistance.

+ Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies.

+ Analyzes and makes recommendations to improve processes to best meet the needs of the organization.

+ Manages and resolves employee relations issues for all corporate functions. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.

+ Supports key projects to support HR efforts that impact their assigned business units.

+ Maintains knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.

+ Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to leaders across all levels (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, PIP management, disciplinary actions).

+ Performs other related duties as assigned.

**Qualifications** **:**

**HR Generalist II:**

+ Bachelors degree in human resources, business or related field; and

+ 4 years of experience in Human Resources.

**HR Generalist Sr:**

+ Bachelors degree in human resources, business or related field; and

+ 7 years of experience in Human Resources.

**Other Requirements:**

+ SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential, preferred.

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

+ Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

+ Excellent level of business acumen and ability to relate business strategies to human resources processes and outcomes.

+ Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

+ Able to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.

+ Able to acquire a thorough understanding of the organizations hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.

+ Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

+ Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

+ Resume required.

**Typical Physical/Mental/Environmental Demands:**

This position requires the ability to remain in a stationary position and to move about the office building, occasional reaching below and above shoulder level, constant use of a keyboard/computer and other office productivity machinery, bending, kneeling, lifting/carrying up to 10 pounds and pushing/pulling up to 20 pounds. It also requires finger dexterity and hand coordination. This position requires the ability to communicate and must be able to clearly exchange accurate information. It also requires the ability to develop plans, procedures, and goals; present information to others; and work under stress to complete projects within deadlines.
