General Description:

This Practice Technology Specialist will work in close collaboration with the entire Knowledge & Innovation team. This role will assist with providing oversight for the firm's legal technology portfolio.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:
  • Oversee management of the firm's legal technology portfolio, including but not limited to extranets, document automation, process automation, enterprise search, drafting tools, and deal rooms as assigned by the Director of Practice Technology
  • Perform application administration duties for legal tools and work with teams implementing new tools.
  • Collaborate with the Practice Acceleration Team, practice groups, Information Technology, training and development, and other internal teams as well as vendors, as necessary.
  • Participate in legal technology work and knowledge management problems/projects of diverse scope.
  • Special project and duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
  • Strong overall written and oral communication skills including the ability to communicate technical or complex subject matter in business terms.
  • Possess analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation and skill in effectively serving a diverse customer base.
Required Qualifications & Education:
  • Bachelor's degree (in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field) or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of information technology experience
  • Experience communicating and working with geographically diverse and virtual teams.
  • Experience using Microsoft Windows 10, Microsoft Office Suite, and Microsoft Teams
  • Demonstrated ability and interest in learning new applications.
  • Work well with others in a team environment requiring minimal supervision.
  • The ability to prioritize/coordinate deadlines and track the progress of tasks.
  • Ability to demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels, across the firm.
  • Must maintain the confidentiality of work-related information and materials.
Preferred Qualifications & Education:
  • Minimum of 3 years of legal industry and legal technology experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Moderate or advanced keyboard usage
  • Capable of traveling for business when necessary


This position may be filled in the District of Columbia or New York. In accordance with the District of Columbia Wage Transparency Law, New York State Pay Transparency Law, and New York City Human Rights Law, the pay range for this position in the District of Columbia is $36.60 - $55.00/hr, New York State is $31.80 - $57.40/hr and in New York City is $38.20 - $57.40/hr. These ranges are specific to these locations and may not be applicable to other locations. An individual's actual compensation will depend on the individual's qualifications and experience.
