Position Summary:

The Training Coordinator of the Naomi Ruth Cohen Institute (NRCI) is responsible for supporting the Executive Director and other team members in providing mental health education and training to The Chicago School campuses and the community. The Training Coordinator will report to the Executive Director and work collaboratively with NRCI Fellows and Graduate Assistants to achieve the objectives. This is a full-time position. Responsibilities may be performed remotely, on the Chicago campus, and at a community site in the Chicagoland area as needed.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Track and respond to internal and external requests for mental health education and training programs Engage in community outreach Coordinate NRCI training calendars and schedules Support planning, hosting, and facilitating all education and training programs including the annual community mental health conference In collaboration with the Executive Director of NRCI, work with individual presenters and organizational partners to plan events including but not limited to scheduling, outlining event content, contracts and invoices Coordinate registration, communications, and materials for scheduled programs as well as documentation and tracking of pending and completed programs Assist in the management of marketing and promotion including flyers, email blasts, and campus flatscreen ads Maintain inventory of training and program supplies; orders as needed Create and update resource materials customized to the programs, audiences, and communities participating in training Prepare surveys, collect data, and create reports, including quarterly summaries on NRCI activities and grants Develop and maintain a training catalog outlining all internal and external courses provided by the Institute; ensure website offerings are current Coordinate with the Office of Continuing Education to apply for, maintain, and issue CEUS, tracking eligible programs and providing attendance verification Serve as Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) program Coordinator for NRCI Complete instructor certification for MHFA/YMHFA/tMHFA and/or QPR as requested Deliver training programs as certified/qualified Serve as primary point of contact for NRCI in the absence of the Executive Director Other duties as assigned Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Demonstrated ability to make successful presentations to individuals and or groups at all levels of an organization; Confident public speaker Passion for addressing mental health stigma Ability to communicate ideas and information effectively in both verbal and written form Strong organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills; ability to manage priorities and workflow Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm Interest in innovative approaches to program development and implementation Demonstrated ability to plan and organize projects Proven ability to independently handle multiple projects and meet deadlines Advanced computer skills, including Excel, Word, Power Point, and Adobe Acrobat Pro Strong interpersonal skills Creative, flexible, and innovative team player; ability to work effectively with a diversity of individuals Commitment to excellence and high standards Embodies the mission, vision, and values of The Chicago School Position Qualifications:

Associate's degree or equivalent, bachelor's or Master's degree in mental health, social work or related field preferred Two to four years related experience; teaching, training and/or program coordination experience preferred Certified MHFA/YMHFA or QPR instructor preferred Ability to travel to program and training sites as required Must be able to work in a ybrid position (physical office, community locations, and virtual workspace) Willingness to work on an occasional evening or weekend day
