Responsibilities

  • Record day to day financial transactions and posting to the general ledger including journal entries
  • Process accounts payable for assigned entities and vendors
  • Verify accuracy of invoices and GL codes referencing contract and/or purchase order as needed
  • Process invoices for payment (ensure bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner which must include valid business purpose and approval)
  • Maintain clean documentation and filing system
  • Review automatic payments to ensure correct coding and authorization as well as sufficient contracts and documentation
  • Process monthly credit card expenses, coding and entry into Quickbooks
  • Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors
  • Process business expense reports and follow up with employees on exceptions
  • Review and maintain fixed assets, depreciation and inventory balances
  • Monitor account balances, track expenses, prepare analyses of accounts and related financial activity to produce monthly financial reports
  • Responsible for accurate vendor information and obtaining W9 forms
  • Create intercompany reconciliation, billings and transactions
  • Integrate and balance relevant transactions into customer accounting software
  • Perform month end balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Ensure compliance with internal company policies, procedures, and accounting standards
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal and tax requirements.
  • Assist in month, quarter and year end financial reviews and tax reporting requirements.
  • Assist in the implementation of new technologies and procedures to enhance efficiency.
  • Assist in adhoc reporting and management requests.
  • Works collaboratively with team members and leadership to align with company financial goals
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related discipline
  • 2-5 years relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience required
  • Expertise in Quickbooks online
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
  • Confidentiality
