We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a DSNP (Dual Special Needs Plan) Coordinator for Kansas Medicaid. This role will be responsible for assisting with the operational integration between Medicare and Medicaid programs, as well as serving as the primary point of contact for providers encountering issues with the DSNP program. The DSNP Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring effective coordination and collaboration between various stakeholders, including Medicare and Medicaid agencies, healthcare providers, and internal teams.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Act as a subject matter expert on DSNP program requirements, policies, and procedures for Kansas Medicaid
  • Collaborate with Medicare and Medicaid agencies to ensure seamless operational integration between the two programs
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for healthcare providers encountering issues or challenges related to DSNP
  • Investigate and resolve provider concerns, complaints, and escalations related to DSNP, ensuring prompt and satisfactory resolutions
  • Develop and maintain solid working relationships with healthcare providers, fostering open communication and trust
  • Provide guidance and training to healthcare providers on DSNP program requirements, billing processes, and documentation standards
  • Stay current on changes to Medicare and Medicaid regulations, policies, and guidelines. Communicate relevant updates to internal teams and providers
  • Analyze data and metrics related to KS DSNP program performance, identifying areas for improvement and proposing solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of DSNP operations
  • Participate in meetings, workgroups, and committees related to DSNP program management and quality improvement initiatives
  • Prepare senior leadership reports and presentations on DSNP program performance, challenges, and recommendations

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in the healthcare industry
  • 1 + years of experience working with Medicare and Medicaid programs
  • 1+ years of experience with healthcare provider operations, billing systems and documentation standards
  • Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to diverse audiences
  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting, with experience using relevant software and tools
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Proven problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service to providers
  • Proven solid organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Supervisory experience
  • Proven in-depth knowledge of DSNP program requirements, regulations, and operational processes

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
