Work Schedule - MondayFriday, availability for overtime during weekends. - 8:00 am-5:00 pm - Lunch 12:00 pm-1:00 pm Basic Functions: Receiving, processing, and verifying invoices related to accounts payables. They also track purchase orders and process payments that come into the company's accounting department from suppliers or customers. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Completes payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices. Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances. Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports, recording entries. Pays vendors, verifying federal id numbers, scheduling, and preparing checks, and resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation. Pays employees by receiving and verifying expense reports and requests for advances, preparing checks. Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions. Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions. Data-entry, which includes inputting payables information into individual job cost files Filing and job cost reconciling as needed. Answers telephone and covers other duties handled by receptionist in her absence. required-skills: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Tracking budget expenses. Attention to detail. PC proficiency. General Math Skills. Will be trained on company payroll & accounting system. Excellent client service skills. Excellent communication skills. Ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Must possess sound decision-making skills and multi-task while working in an environment of stress with specific deadlines. Data Entry Skills. Confidentiality. Reporting Skills. Organization. Education and Experience: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field a plus Previous accounts payable experience preferred.
