Your role
A. Maintain and promote a safe and environmentally compliant working environment. This includes utilizing proper PPE (company provided) as detailed in work instructions, following all Safety, Health and Environmental procedures and guidelines and actively participating in safety meetings and discussions. Be aware that all employees have the responsibility to report any unsafe behaviors or activities to their supervisor, as well as question any tasks that they deem unsafe. All employees are required to operate their equipment or complete their job duties within the safe operating guidelines provided through training and procedures.

B. Undertake and successfully complete assigned training and development activities. Provide training for others as required.

C. Ensure that all shipping and receiving activities are completed according to our Quality Management System and per SAP guidelines. Pay particular attention to customer shipments and requirements to be compliant with DOT and Food Safety regulations.

D. Responsible for weekly truck schedule, including coordinating with production, customer service and planning.

E. Responsible for training new personnel, including sign offs once training is complete.

F. Promote safe operations within this team at all times, including modeling of safe practices and behaviors

G. Work to improve loading efficiency and scheduling with an emphasis on limiting truck wait times.

H. Responsible for proper receipt of all bulk materials, including special circumstances

I. Responsible for scheduling warehouse personnel to best utilize manpower and workload.

J. Additional duties as determined by Supervisor.

About you
  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum 3 plus years' experience in a warehousing or operational environment (chemical or flavor/fragrance industry preferred)
  • Computer experience preferred (i.e. excel, Microsoft word).
  • Self-motivated individual with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with others.
  • Basic HSE required training, additional training to be provided as required (DOT, ISO, HazMat, etc.)
