We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at Bryten Real Estate Partners. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our properties by performing routine maintenance, repairs, and upkeep tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs to ensure the overall condition and appearance of our properties, including tasks such as drywall repair, painting, carpentry, and HVAC maintenance.
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring that all issues are resolved to the satisfaction of our residents.
- Assist with turnkey operations by preparing vacant units for rent, performing repairs, and accurately posting status of work orders.
- Perform plumbing repairs including replacing faucets, toilets, and hot water tanks, as well as fixing garbage disposals, dishwashers, and washing machines.
- Complete grounds work including picking up trash, sweeping, pressure washing, and maintaining the landscape.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards by adhering to OSHA specifications and company guidelines, reporting any discrepancies to the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager.
- High school diploma or equivalent required, with specialized vocational training or certification in a relevant field preferred.
- 1+ years of experience in building and facility maintenance, with a background in handyman work, home repairs, or commercial renovations.
- Licensing and trade certification in Electrical Wiring or Plumbing highly desired, with HVAC certification required.
- CPO certification preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work harmoniously with staff, vendors, contractors, and residents.
- Organized and detail-oriented with a strong level of accuracy and ability to multitask.
- Ability to prioritize and adhere to deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
