Patients throughout the area come to OMG because they know they will receive the personal attention and professional care that is our foundation. Our team is dedicated to keeping our patients comfortable and well-informed at all times. This position is for the Dayton Optometric Center location.

Job description

We are looking for a fast-paced front desk receptionist to be the face of the office. You will be expected to perform a variety of tasks requested from the doctor such as checking patients in and out, collecting co-pays, scheduling appointments and answering phone calls. To be successful in this position, you should have a pleasant personality, as this is also a customer service role. You should be able to deal with emergencies in a timely and effective manner, while streamlining office operations. Multitasking and stress management skills are essential for this position.

Responsibilities
  • Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office
  • Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing
Skills
  • Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers)
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
