Overview:
Acquisition Specialist:
Bowhead seeks an Acquisition Specialist for a proposal effort in California, MD that will support and draft program milestone related documentation to ensure compliance with all aspects of the DoD and SECNAV 5000 series directives.
Responsibilities:Essential functions will include:
- Supports the development of program acquisition
documentation such as APs, ASRs, PIDs, SOWs, funding documents, CDRLs, and PBAs - Assesses program procedures, practices, philosophies, and documentation for compliance with specifications, contracts, and mission requirements
- Attends, participates, supports, analyzes, provides input, develops, prepares and reports on briefs, point papers, reports, correspondence, meetings, conferences, and review boards
- Other duties as assigned
- BA/BS degree.
- Three (3) to ten (10) years of experience performing duties described in the functional description
- Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
- Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
- Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
