What You’ll Do As a Principal Product Manager, Payroll and HR, your primary role long-term will be leading product strategy and roadmap for a suite of When I Work products. Your first priority in the role will be establishing, building, and owning the vision, strategy, and execution of When I Work’s Payroll product offering. To stand up this new business unit, you will need a deep understanding of a payroll product as well as experience driving the product, and cross-functional needs and requirements. In this role you will: Define the business and product strategy for the payroll product offering. Own and be accountable for end-to-end success of the payroll product Lead assessment of the partner’s payroll product and determine gaps and improvements that fit the needs of the end user, compatibility with the other When I Work products, and take into consideration the future of work (i.e - access to earned wages). Deeply understand market and industry trends in order to offer well researched and competitive product recommendations Drive cross-organizational teams (e.g. Customer support, implementation, sales, marketing, etc) to properly build out their teams in order to launch and support a successful payroll product. Partner cross functionally to establish market readiness and go-to-market strategy Lead the efforts in understanding & anticipating the needs of our customers working closely with our customers to help establish and grow our user base, increase engagement, and deliver an unprecedented customer experience in Android, iOS, and Web environments Drive testing, research, and analysis to facilitate quick decision making Who You Are You are an HR Technology savant with a particular interest in payroll and have spent the majority of your professional career thinking about how payroll could be improved. You have proven success in using data to take actionable steps to make changes within HCM and payroll products, leading teams and ultimately shipping successful products to market. You see a big opportunity in the HCM and payroll industry and are excited to take your deep domain expertise and apply it to a larger business initiative.
