The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with weekly payroll processing and proficiency in UKG Payroll systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll Administration:
- Process weekly payrolls for a diverse employee base with high accuracy.
- Ensure timely and accurate calculation of wages, deductions, and benefits.
- Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Oracle Payroll System Management:
- Utilize UKG Payroll systems to manage payroll functions and resolve system-related issues.
- Generate payroll reports and analyze data for accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct regular audits of payroll data to ensure integrity and accuracy.
- Compliance and Reporting:
- Stay updated on federal, state, and local payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
- Prepare and file payroll tax reports, including W-2s, 1099s, and other required documentation.
- Respond to inquiries from employees, management, and regulatory agencies regarding payroll-related matters.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement best practices to streamline payroll operations.
- Develop and maintain payroll procedures and documentation to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure alignment and accurate data integration.
- Provide guidance and support to junior payroll staff and assist in their training and development.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on payroll experience with a focus on weekly payroll processing.
- Proven experience with UKG Payroll systems is required.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of payroll principles, practices, and regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
