The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring financial accuracy and providing strategic financial guidance to support business objectives. This role requires a strong combination of technical accounting expertise, leadership skills and a strategic mindset.

Accounting Manager Responsibilities:

  • Manage the accounting team, including hiring, training and developing staff
  • Oversee the complete accounting cycle, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and tax regulations
  • Manage the budgeting and forecasting process
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities and risks
  • Provide financial support to other departments, including sales, operations and production
  • Collaborate with external auditors to ensure accurate financial reporting

Accounting Manager Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • CPA or CMA certification preferred
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, including supervisory experience
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred
