Collaborate with the Provost/VP of Academic Affairs to develop amulti-year recruitment strategy and annual recruitment plans based onenrollment targets and data trends. Provide reports and admissionupdates to Provost/VP of Academic Affairs utilizing enrollment andinstitutional data. Oversee the admission file review process for allundergraduate applicants and ensure that admission practices are in linewith Massachusetts DHE and institutional standards. Oversees to theoverall enrollment goals of the College, with a focus on increasing andsupporting prospective students with historically marginalized andminoritized backgrounds and building and leveraging relationships withpartnered schools and community-based organizations to increase studentenrollment. Responsible for the hiring, supervision, and performanceevaluation of the admissions counselors responsible for first year andtransfer recruitment. Expected to keep staff motivated and working atoptimum levels, especially at peak times, and establish astudent-centered culture, balanced with accurate processing and goals.Continual development of the staff with professional developmenttraining and education. Oversees the development of on and off campusrecruitment events for first year and transfer students. Partner withthe Director of Enrollment Operations to develop admission marketingstrategies and messaging, including print, electronic and social mediaoutlets. Ensure that appropriate outreach to inquiries, applicants,parents, and other constituencies are maintained throughout theadmissions cycle. The Director will be responsible for workingcollaboratively with the Office of Student Financial Services to assistin developing financial aid awarding strategies to optimize resources aswell as develop practices/ policies to enhance new student enrollment.The Director will be responsible for overseeing the awarding ofscholarships for undergraduate students at the time of admission. Willserve as the liaison with the Offices of Student Financial Services andAdvancement to ensure proper awarding and monitoring of scholarshipfunds. Work with Student Affairs division and other campus constituentsto enhance and successfully implement dynamic and effective new studentorientation and onboarding programs. Participate in professionalopportunities to ensure awareness of the latest and best practices incollege admissions. Represents the College at various recruitmentactivities, including college night programs, high school visits, highschool fairs, and other related events. Performs other duties related tosupporting and developing programs to increase new student enrollment atMCLA. Collaborates with the Director of Enrollment Operations to managethe Office of Admission operating budget. Some night and weekend workrequired.
