Job Summary
The U.S. home appliance industry is worth roughly $35B annually; the largest U.S. retailer, Lowe’s, is roughly 30% of the market. Midea America is focused on rapidly expanding our market share at this key customer and is hiring additional account management head count to support continued growth at Lowe’s.
This individual will be responsible for managing existing business and growing new business at Lowe’s.
A successful candidate for this role has account management experience in the home appliance industry or experience selling to Lowe’s in other industries. Ideally the candidate has some level of existing relationships at Lowe’s that can be leveraged to quickly make an impact on the business.
This individual will foster relationships with Lowe’s merchandising and inventory personnel to gain influence, and effectively collaborate across Midea’s cross functional teams to deliver the annual Business Plan (BP). This position will own account management responsibilities for key product categories and report to the Director of the Lowe’s account team.
Business planning and sales growth
Monitor overall account performance, identify opportunities and challenges, and develop appropriate action plans.
Own account management responsibilities for specific product categories including new product pitches, product launch planning, CPFR, and execution of customer program agreements.
Proactively lead problem solving efforts via logical and persuasive communications while pursuing “win-win” solutions.
Collaborate with various Midea cross functional teams, including product management, marketing, manufacturing, supply chain, operations, finance, and service, to meet account performance objectives and manage stakeholder expectations.
Achieve assigned KPI’s for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts.
Closely collaborate with customers and Midea operations/supply management departments to provide accurate sales forecasting.
Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis.
Other Duties as Assigned.
Required Qualifications
Minimum five years of account management experience in the big box retail channel
Preferred Qualifications
Home appliance experience
5+ years in Sales or Marketing Functions
Demonstrated success developing and growing sales with existing customers.
Customer Service, Closing Skills, Negotiation, Self-Confidence, Presentation Skills, Client Relationships, Motivation for Sales.
Work Environment: Split between home office and local Mooresville office
Travel: Minimal; primarily domestic and possible one International trip/year
