Job Description:

Program Coordinator (Informal Caregiver Strategy Coordinator)

Location: Indianapolis, IN. This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). Ideal candidates will live within 50 miles of our Indianapolis, IN PulsePoint location.

The Informal Caregiver Strategy Coordinator position is responsible for providing support to the Caregiving and Advocacy Team Personal Guides and for supporting implementation of PathWays Caregiver Advisory Boards throughout the state. This position will support the comprehensive, strategic caregiving approach is implemented and available to all IN PathWays for Aging caregivers.

How you will make an impact:
  • Create and maintain business program plans and schedules, helping ensure business deliverables are met, assisting in the documentation and tracking of project status to ensure the objectives of externally facing client programs are achieved within set time frames and budgets.
  • Support the informal caregiving strategic plan, coordinating and providing support to the Informal Caregiver Advisory Committees, and working with a team of local leaders.
  • Represent the interests of members and caregivers during policy and procedure development related to informal caregiving.
  • Assist in the implementation and monitoring of informal caregiving services for PathWays for Aging that includes building and supporting relationships with external informal caregiving resources and partners, and also serving as the contact for participation in advisory groups and boards for informal caregiving.
  • Develops a data collection system and tracking informal caregiving benefits and service utilization for routine reporting.
  • Other responsibilities may include scheduling, conducting and attending meetings, supporting management in overall objectives, assessing costs and savings, and assisting in the payments of vendor invoices.
  • The role also involves compiling complex data and assisting in preparing and delivering presentations as required.
Minimum Qualifications:

Requires a HS diploma or equivalent and minimum of 3 years' experience in health care, or 2 years of related program experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experience:
  • BA/BS degree preferred.
  • Experience with older adult population strongly preferred.
  • Organizational skills are strongly preferred.
  • High level communication skills are strongly preferred.
