CloudFit Software is looking for qualified Service Engineers that have the experience and passion to design, deploy, and operate customer solutions. These solutions include a combination of Commercial off-the-shelf, open-source, and cloud-native technologies. The job will involve learning new technologies, interacting with client stakeholders, and designing new or retrofitting old enclaves to meet the ever-evolving needs of our customers. It’s easy - a passion for technology and a strong desire to help customers achieve their goals through service engineering Responsibilities: Design cloud-native solutions using Azure and technologies Take accountability for past and future technical implementations, working to modernize and improve their capabilities to meet customer needs Own product features from backlog through support, applying engineering best practices across the entire project lifecycle Communicate and collaborate with users, engineers, and management to turn requirements into deployable software while engaging in engineering meetings and mentoring Grow professional skills regularly and quantifiably Transform customer business requirements into definable technological architecture Maintain professional accountability for product feature areas from requirement gathering through continued operations Engage in company culture through active participation in regular meetings and customer reviews Apply and create company and industry best practices for software usage, system administration and design, security, and network management Encourage and take accountability for reducing toil through automation Support customers via on-call rotations for production workloads when required Adjust to the needs of the customer and project while maintaining a culture of service and gratitude Travel to support customers in air-gapped environments Must be able to report on-site in Lynchburg, VA What makes you the perfect fit for this role: Interest in cloud-native cybersecurity solutions, custom integration scripting, and the Microsoft security stack Basic understanding of Agile tools (Azure DevOps), SOLID principles, REST APIs, and server architectures Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure automation (Ansible, Terraform) Knowledge of development tools (Java, Node.js, .NET, React, C#) and CI/CD tools (GitLab, Azure DevOps, Jenkins) Eager to learn and grow in areas like Python, SIEM, Git, and system administration on Windows and Linux Willingness to gain experience in continuous integration, deploying distributed applications, data science, incident response, and operational management Current Federal Security Clearance or ability to obtain (US Citizenship required) The salary range for this role is $60k - $150k + benefits, & perks. Please note the national salary range listed in the job posting reflects the new hire salary range across levels and U.S. locations that would be applicable to the position. Final salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s final level and location. Also, the range represents salary only and does not include our total rewards package.
