Sunrun is seeking an experienced leader with a Finance background to lead our incentive compensation function. The position has an analytical and strategic focus, solving complex problems with data-driven solutions to enable leadership to meet organizational goals. The person will lead a team that collaborates with business leaders and the people function to design, develop, implement and execute all of the company's variable compensation plans primarily across several thousand sales representatives and solar/battery installation workers. Consult and advise leadership on commission plans.

In deep collaboration with business leaders, develop compensation commission plans that motivate performance while simultaneously supporting the business’ key objectives. Gain a deep understanding of the business and the drivers. Devise commissions plans and fully facilitate roll out of commission plans.

Administer and manage day to day operations of compensation plans, ensuring payments are accurate/timely and paid in accordance with plan provisions. Develop, review, and manage ongoing incentive compensation plans, calculation engines Similarly review and approve or modify SPIFF programs Develop and review compensation offers to attract and retain sales talent, which may include earn outs and minimum requirements Maintain proper documentation of the commissions processes and related controls Train and mentor team members regarding commission processes and policy changes as appropriate Team serves as a point of contact for employees, managers and sales leaders to address questions regarding plans, performs research as needed to resolve issues Respond to commissions related inquiries in a timely, diplomatic and professional manner ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Advise senior leadership management based on data-driven discovery Assist senior leadership management in understanding problems and devising solutions P

rovide analysis on incentive compensation performance, including tracking individual and team performance against targets. Stay up to date with industry best practices and trends related to incentive compensation administration, recommending improvements to current processes and systems. Maintain accurate and confidential records of incentive compensation plans, payments, and related documentation. Develop intimate knowledge of our data architecture and data criteria Supervise, develop, and mentor a team of analysts Set daily, weekly, and monthly goals for the team Develop a deep understanding of the unit economics of the business and understand how incentive compensation plans drive improvement, margin expansion and ultimately cash generation for the company Assist in creating and documenting cross-departmental processes and procedures to improve operational efficiency Complete special projects as requested REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS, AND OTHER SKILLS) Bachelor's degree in data science, business intelligence, finance, or related field Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in data analytics or business intelligence Minimum people management experience of 2 years Solar experience is a plus Working knowledge of SQL or other programming language Exceptional mathematical skills Working knowledge of Microstrategies preferred, but not required Experience leading people within a dynamic, rapidly growing organization. Starting salary/wage for this opportunity: $162,417.94 to $216,557.25 Other rewards may include annual bonus eligibility, which is based on company and individual performance, short and long term incentives, and program-specific awards.
