Purpose :
The human resource generalist isresponsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and worksclosely with senior HR management in supporting designated geographic regions.This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas:benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management,onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, affirmative actionand employment law compliance.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

A bachelor's degree and five+ years of Human Resources experiencepreferred

Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred

Essential Functions:
Reasonable accommodationsmay be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essentialfunctions.
  • Responsible for FMLA administration, managing requests and sendingrequired documentation per the federal law requirements
  • Assists with various human resources plans and procedures for allcompany personnel; assists in development and implementation of personnelpolicies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee handbook and policiesand procedures manual
  • Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems
  • Monitors performance evaluation program and revises as necessary
  • Assist with benefits administration to include claims resolution,change reporting, approving invoices for payment, and communicating benefitinformation to employees
  • Develops and maintains affirmative action program; accesses otherrecords, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations
  • Assists with recruitment effort for exempt and nonexempt personnel,students, and temporary employees; assists with new-employee orientations;monitors career pathing program, writes and places advertisements
  • Handles employee relations counseling, investigations, and exitinterviewing as requested
  • Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends othermeetings and seminars
  • Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of departmentin relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies, andprocedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department andservices performed
  • Maintains Human Resource Information System records and compilesreports from database
  • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerningemployment
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned
Customer Service,Communication, Training
  • Provides excellent customer service support to internal and externalcustomers
  • Develops communication tools to enhance understanding of the company's HRpolicies and procedures
  • Assists with the creation and implementation of HR policies andprocedures, manuals and forms
  • Creates and conducts presentations using audiovisual tools, includingPowerPoint and videos as requested
  • Provides training and support to HR staff, homeoffice associates and the community staff

Working Conditions (travel,hours, environment):
This job operates in a professional officeenvironment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such ascomputers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Able to work full-time and maintain regular,reliable attendance. Travel may berequested on occasion.

Physical/SensoryRequirements (with or without the aid of mechanical devices):
Sedentary Work - Ability to exert 25 pounds offorce occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift,carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, buy may involvewalking or standing for brief periods of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required totalk and hear.
