Job Summary

The YMCA of Columbia-Willamette is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated HR Generalist to support the organization's human resources functions. As a key member of the Human Resources department, you will play a vital role in promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support hiring managers in the recruitment process, including job requisitions, applications, and background checks.
  • Administer benefits for the association, including annual open enrollment, benefits communication, and enrollment/termination of benefits with insurance carriers.
  • Review, research, and process all HR actions, including promotions, pay changes, terminations, hires, and other actions submitted through the HRIS system.
  • Ensure all HR-related actions involving payroll changes are communicated to the Payroll department and monitored each pay period for accuracy.
  • Research and respond to employment verifications in a timely manner.
  • Input training and certification information into the HRIS system by established deadlines.
  • Conduct background checks for applicants, employees, and volunteers.
  • Maintain personnel files and records.
  • Support business operations and fundraising efforts.
