Vaco Memphis is assisting our client in the Memphis, TN area with an internal audit staff or senior.
Job Functions Include:

  • Performs various financial, Sarbanes-Oxley, and operational audit procedures, including identifying and defining issues, developing criteria, reviewing and analyzing evidence, and documenting processes and procedures
  • Conducts interviews, reviews documents, develops and administers surveys, composes summary memos, and prepares working papers
  • Identifies, develops, and documents audit issues and recommendations using independent judgement concerning areas being reviewed
  • Pursues professional development opportunities, including external and internal training and professional association memberships, and shares information gained with co-workers
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Candidate must have the hours to sit for the CPA examination
  • Ability to travel (15% or less)to select domestic and international locations
  • Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with co-workers, company personnel, and external auditors
  • Skilled in collecting and analyzing complex data, evaluating information and systems, and drawing logical conclusions
  • Proficient in using a computer with word processing, spreadsheet, and other business software to prepare reports, memos, summaries, and analyses
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of management information systems terminology, concepts, and practices
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Certification or progress towards the CPA, CIA and/ or the CISA is preferred
  • Experience with public accounting firm or large multinational manufacturer
  • Excellent Excel, Access, and/ or ACL skills
