Under the direct supervision of the Manager, Patient Financial/Pt Management Systems, the Senior Programmer Analyst, Imaging is responsible for: Determining and defining the needs of user requests and relating those requirements to the Health System protocols. Overseeing major enterprise-level projects requiring the coordination of multiple resources. Providing dashboard results to many disciplines within the hospital, such as the President, COO, Medical Education, units within Akron, and state agencies. Interfaces with various user areas to determine user needs. Follows up on user satisfaction.Reviews and recommends form designs relative to document imaging and document automation.Oversees multiple projects and systems on any platform (PC, mainframe, Unix, Novel).Determines major project tasks and ensures timely completion of projects.Assists the manager with department planning, staffing, training and evaluating performance.Analyzes the financial impact of technical alternatives and makes recommendations.Assesses business needs and researches technical pletes document imaging and document automation tasks under the direction of the Senior Project Leader.Works with Document Imaging vendor Medplus and Document Automation vendor FormFast to resolve technical issues.Maintains established department policies and procedures.Collaborates on projects with vendors and other technical support.Participates in continuous improvement processes with other departments as required.Participates in the application after-hours support pletes mandatory education and training in order to maintain organization and department specific competencies and requirements. Maintains applicable certification/licensure.Follows hospital and department policies and procedures with special attention to attendance and punctuality, confidentiality, dress code and display of ID badge, and safety.Other duties as assignedEducation:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related degree or equivalent experience.Certifications:For Information Technology Division caregivers, ITIL Foundations certification is required within 6 months of position start plexity of Work:Knowledge of various systems and how each interacts/interfaces with other systems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage people and large projects.Work Experience:Five to seven years experience in Information Systems field. Expertise in database concepts (relational, hierarchical) IE, Sybase, Oracle, Informix. Expertise in Document Imaging, TCP/IP, HL-7 Standards, AIX, ESA, Interface Engines, SQL Tools, Graphical User Interfaces. Expertise in project management software. Expertise in Unix (AIX) operating systems. Expertise in PC tools (word processors, spreadsheets, databases).Physical Requirements:Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.Ability to travel throughout the hospital system.Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment.Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.Personal Protective Equipment:Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as requiredPay RangeMinimum hourly: $33.46Maximum hourly: $51.03The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. While the pay range is displayed as an hourly rate, Cleveland Clinic recruiters will clarify whether the compensation is hourly or salary. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set, and education.
