The Accounting & HR Manager is a key team member of the Prodigy leadership team and will support the overall operations of the organization including but not limited to accounting, human resources, and administrative responsibilities. This role organizes, directs, and controls financial data for the use of management, creditors, investors, and taxing authorities. Additionally, this role oversees HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, and benefits administration. The Manager, Accounting & HR maintains operating budgets and plans, forecasts proposed projects, measures performance against operating plans and standards, and interprets the results of operations in coordination with an outside CPA firm.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Advises President and other members of management team on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and policies.
- Financial Reporting: Hands-on management and preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.
- Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicates and presents financial & HR matters to stakeholders.
- External Representation: Represents Prodigy externally on banking, lending, tax, and business insurance matters.?
- Policy and Software Management: Upgrades and implements accounting & HR standards, policies, tools and controls, etc. as needed; manage accounting and HR software
- Account & Funds Management:?Monitors activity in all company bank and credit card accounts; transfers funds as needed; manage ACH payments and fraud prevention.?
- Financial Auditing and Accounts Management: Audit financial reports for accuracy; hands-on management of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.?
- Balance Sheet Management:?Manages balance sheet schedules for prepaid expenses, fixed assets and depreciation, unearned revenue, and accrued expenses.?
- Recruitment and Staffing:?Oversee the recruitment process, including job postings, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new employees.
- Employee Relations:?Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns and facilitate conflict resolution.
- Performance Management:?Implement performance review systems and work with employees to set goals and objectives.
- Training and Development:?Coordinate training programs to enhance employee skills and promote career growth.
- Compensation and Benefits:?Manage payroll, benefits programs, and ensure compliance with labor laws.
- Other Duties: Performs other related duties as assigned.?
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field
- Designation as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of related experience is preferred
- Advanced knowledge of accounting & HR software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail?
- Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion
- Ability to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to best inform decisions and approach
