Summary

The Sr. Salesforce Administrator will report to the Software Engineering Manager position and will be integral to the Internal Applications Team. We seek an experienced Senior Salesforce Administrator to manage and maintain our Salesforce instance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing and enhancing our Salesforce platform to meet the evolving needs of our business. As a Senior Salesforce Administrator, you will work with the Salesforce team to design, develop, test, and deploy new Salesforce features and functionality. You will also ensure data integrity, security, and user adoption.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain our Salesforce instance, including but not limited to managing users, data, workflows, and integrations.
  • Lead the implementation of new Salesforce features and functionality
  • Develop and maintain custom reports, dashboards, and workflows to support business processes
  • Manage the data import and export processes
  • Provide day-to-day end-user support, troubleshooting, and training
  • Monitor and maintain data quality and ensure data integrity
  • Perform regular Salesforce administration tasks such as user management, security management, and system maintenance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements
  • Create and maintain documentation for Salesforce processes, procedures, and best practices
  • May perform unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing of new application functionality and assist with its implementation as part of the regular release cadence
  • Use root cause analysis and troubleshooting skills to resolve issues.
Skills:
  • SME level in the ability to administer Salesforce Service, Sales, and Marketing Cloud in the areas of User Management, General Salesforce support, Security Management, Data Management, and Process Automation
    • Including but not limited to:

      • Field and Data Management
      • Flows
      • Workflow Rules
      • List Views
      • Data Security, Profiles, Roles, Permission sets, and set groups
  • Proficient DevOps knowledge and knowledge of methodologies to deploy/release Salesforce changes into a production system.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce integration types, especially APIs and Connected Apps
  • Expert in the implementation of 3rd party products to support Salesforce
  • Knowledge of the organizational structure, business processes, and culture to help build relationships with key groups
  • Ability to concisely communicate with any level of business representatives
  • Desire to be the voice of the user in communicating with management
  • Analytical skills to respond to requested changes and identify customizations
  • Demonstrated organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to understand how organizational changes and system changes affect each other
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Salesforce Administrator, preferably in a senior role
  • Salesforce Administrator and Advanced Administrator certification is required, and additional Salesforce certifications are preferred
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices and data management principles
  • Experience with data modeling, report development, and custom development in Salesforce
  • Knowledge of Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning components
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience with Salesforce integrations and third-party applications is a plus
  • Ability to synthesize and interpret technical data
  • Self-motivated, with high productivity and creative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines
  • Must have an attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • Ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical audiences
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with team members, internal customers, high-level staff, and external vendors
